The Only Place on Maui Where Your Whole Group Stays Together
Most Maui wedding groups scatter across hotel rooms and condos. At the Inn, your favorite people wake up under the same roof, share breakfast in the garden, and make memories in spaces designed for togetherness — not just lodging.
A place where our families could connect, relax, and spend meaningful time together.

The moments before and after the ceremony are where the real magic lives.
Rehearsal Dinners
Long tables under the palms. Your caterer, your menu, your people — in a setting that photographs like a dream.
Welcome Hours
The night everyone arrives. Lei greeting, pūpū, drinks on the lanai — the “we’re really doing this” moment.
Day-After Brunches
Coffee on the lawn, stories from last night, and the kind of unhurried morning only Maui can deliver.
Although our wedding itself was held offsite, the inn became the heart of our entire celebration. We were also fortunate to host a small dinner onsite, and the ambiance was truly stunning — intimate, elegant, and quintessentially Maui.

Incredible experience for an inn buy-out. Our family had the absolute pleasure of doing a buyout of The Historic Wailuku Inn for our wedding weekend, and it could not have been more perfect. Although our wedding itself was held offsite, the inn became the heart of our entire celebration — a place where our families could connect, relax, and spend meaningful time together.
From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the beautiful interior design — curated, warm, and full of character. The bedrooms were spacious, clean, and incredibly well stocked with everything guests could need. The robes and snacks in each room were so thoughtful.
The grounds are just as special. The gardens are lush and peaceful, and the outdoor furniture is so stylish. One of our favorite touches was the “Aloha Room,” which was so thoughtfully equipped with water, snacks, hot water, a microwave, and even sunscreen — details like this really set the inn apart.
We were also fortunate to host a small dinner onsite, and the ambiance was truly stunning — intimate, elegant, and quintessentially Maui. Every single guest staying at the inn commented on how much they loved their room, which speaks volumes. Breakfast each morning was lovely, the staff was incredibly attentive and kind throughout our stay.
What truly elevated the experience, however, was the level of service. The Historic Wailuku Inn staff went above and beyond in every way — accommodating our special requests, always being available, and communicating with us seamlessly throughout the entire process. The level of care and responsiveness was exceptional. Parking was easy and ample.
This is truly a hidden gem on Maui. If you’re looking for a place to gather with loved ones in a setting that is both beautiful and deeply welcoming, you simply cannot do better. 10/10, we would recommend it without hesitation.
“Absolutely the best stay we had on Maui! The communication was amazing, the historic inn, grounds, rooms etc. were immaculate and the breakfast and staff were fabulous. They made sure everything was just right for our stay. It was the perfect way to celebrate our 25th anniversary and we are so glad we picked this place. We can’t wait to come back here again!”
“We loved our stay! The location was awesome, the room was spotless, and the staff couldn’t have been more friendly or helpful. The main building, where they serve breakfast, is absolutely gorgeous. The decorations are so beautiful that you’ll find other guests constantly taking pictures—it’s that stunning.”
“This stunning property is genuinely the better alternative to overpriced resorts that are pretentious and crowded. While it may be challenging to properly experience true Hawai’i, The Historic Wailuku Inn gives you an idea of how Maui should be experienced. You get just the right amount of attention without being smothered, the bedroom and bathroom are luxuriously appointed despite the focus on reducing wastefulness and promoting sustainability. It is located in the heart of Wailuku town and is within close proximity to very cool local restaurants, coffee shops, Foodland, and Iao Valley. I’m tempted to gatekeep, but this property is too good not to share. I’d come back many times over.”

Good Questions We Hear Often
Out of respect for our neighborhood and permits, we do not host on-site wedding ceremonies or officiated vows. However, we’re the perfect home base for everything around the ceremony — rehearsal dinners, welcome parties, day-after brunches, first-look photography, and full-property buyouts for your wedding week.
Yes — the garden lawn seats up to 50, and the covered lanai is ideal for more intimate dinners. Your caterer, your menu, your vibe.
The Inn’s 10 suites accommodate up to 20 overnight guests. For events like rehearsal dinners or welcome parties, we can host up to 50 guests on the garden lawn and covered lanai.
For wedding groups hosting events on the property, we recommend a full buyout to ensure your group has privacy and exclusive access to the gardens, lanai, and common spaces. Partial bookings may be available for midweek stays — just ask.
Absolutely. We operate BYOC (bring your own caterer) — we just require that all vendors carry proper insurance. We’re happy to share our list of preferred Maui caterers who know the property well.
We’re in a residential neighborhood, so quiet hours are observed and only acoustic or low-amplification music is permitted. Think ukulele, a small jazz trio, or a Bluetooth speaker at conversation level — it fits the intimate vibe perfectly.
