Lahaina Grill: Named one of the “Top 25 Restaurants in the United States” by Tripadvisor, Lahaina Grill is a must-try on Maui. It’s a contemporary bistro that serves everything from escargots and foie gras to ravioli and risotto. Vegetarian dishes are also available. Be sure to pair your meal with a glass of wine, beer, or a handcrafted cocktail.

Morimoto: Masaharu Morimoto is a Japanese chef who is best known from the Japanese TV cooking show Iron Chef. His award-winning restaurant, Morimoto, combines signature Japanese-American cuisine with local Hawaiian ingredients to create dishes that will have you coming back for more. Signatures entrees include whole roasted lobster, Thai curry snapper, and seafood toban yaki.

Mama’s Fish House: Located in a coconut grove near Ho’okipa Beach, Mama’s Fish House has been an island institution for over 40 years. This family-owned eatery serves some of the freshest seafood on Maui! Each day, fisherman head out on small boats and bring back a wide range of wild-caught fish. The chefs then process and serve the fish within 24 hours.

Casual Dining

Roy’s: Roy’s is the most famous Hawaiian fine dining establishment in the world. The Asian-fusion cuisine comes with an expensive price tag, but those who are watching their budget can still experience a delicious meal. Sit at the bar and enjoy some complimentary edamame, then get a glass of wine or beer from the happy hour list. Cheers!

Duke’s Beach House: Duke’s Beach House on Ka’anapali Beach honors Olympic swimmer and surfer Duke Kahanamoku. Here, diners are treated to live music and spectacular views of the Pacific. Each menu showcases fresh Maui fare like locally-sourced produce, sustainable seafood, and premium steaks.

Hali’imaile General Store:This iconic restaurant was founded in 1988 and is known locally as “The Store”. With island-inspired dishes made from fresh, local ingredients, Hali’imaile General Store is a popular destination for residents and visitors alike.

Food Trucks

Mediterranean Grill: Never thought you’d find chicken shawarma and gyros in Hawaii? Think again! This Maui food truck is parked at the Haiku Marketplace 7 days a week and serves up authentic dishes like lamb kabobs, Greek salad, and falafel. It’s a great place to stop for lunch on your way to Maui’s North Shore.

Like Poke?: A bowl of fresh Ahi poke is a quintessential part of any Maui vacation. Like Poke? usually parks in a lot off of Haleakala Highway and offers heaping bowls of poke made any way you like. Just be sure to get there early – the truck can be sold out as early as 11 a.m.!

Horhitos Mobile Taqueria: Horhitos is famous for their tacos. Guests can choose from yummy shrimp and fish tacos, steak tacos, chicken tacos, and more. (And they’re all under $4 each!) Other popular menu items include the Dakine Burrito and any of their Hawaiian plates. Yum!
