World Whale Day in Kihei honors Maui’s incredible North Pacific Humpback Whale population. This free, day-long celebration begins with a parade followed by an opening ceremony, live entertainment, food trucks, an artisan fair, and a silent auction. You can even go whale watching before the event!

Have you ever had an onion so sweet, you could eat it like an apple? At the Maui Onion Festival, you may be tempted to do just that! This free event showcases the delicious Kula onion, which has been described as “glorious” and “legendary”. Try a Kula onion sandwich, enjoy recipe contests, and participate in onion-themed games at Whaler’s Village.

The Kapalua Wine & Food Festival, established in 1981, is the longest-running food and wine event in the United States.
