Are you fascinated by art and sculpture? Check out Turnbull Studios on Maui. Steve and Christine Turnbull are internationally recognized sculptors that invite you to watch them work. Explore the gallery, which features some of Maui’s finest local artists, or relax in the two-acre sculpture garden. Turnbull Studios is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Another excellent place to view local artwork is Maui Hands in Lahaina. Maui Hands showcases the creative efforts of 300 local artisans, including paintings, prints, pottery, and sculpture. The gallery also carries jewelry and has the largest collection of Ni’ihau shell leis on the island.
No trip to Maui is complete without the soothing sounds of slack key guitar! Ledward Kaapana and other top guitarists appear regularly at the Masters of Hawaiian Music Slack Key Show.
